3 Need-to-Know Points About the Creation Story

You might have young ones or grandchildren that don’t have the attention span to read all of Genesis 1, even if your book is filled with adorable animal pictures. Here’s are the main points you do want to get across:

  1. The Triune God–Father, Son, and Holy Spirit–participate in the creation.
  2. God created and blessed the heavens and earth, the creatures, the plant life, and the people. God is the owner and true King of the universe.
  3. God creates humans in his own image and gives them rule over all the earth (1:26-28).
