I sat next to a millennial on a plane last month and as our small talk continued in the direction of religion and our shared Christian faith, the question of denomination came up: “I was raised Seventh-Day Adventist…” he answered sheepishly. “Have you heard of us?”
He was a young gentleman, well-educated, and clearly was aware that Seventh-Day Adventists haven’t always been considered “orthodox Christians…” I didn’t give him a lecture or shame him for his background (click here for tips on witnessing respectfully), but I wondered if he knew the differences between biblical Christianity and SDA doctrine.
