Making Sense of Suffering – New! From Joni Eareckson Tada

Rose Publishing is proud to introduce Joni Eareckson Tada to a new generation of Christians.

It is hard to be grateful when your life is being ripped apart by mind-blowing pain. Chronic illness, a heart attack, a terrible car accident, betrayal, and loneliness: tough times like these make us want to throw in the towel.
We try to overcome, but the exhaustion destroys our energy and our hope. We try to pray, but the pain interrupts our concentration. We want to give up.
The topics of fear, hopelessness, depression, suffering, loneliness, and worry are issues I can speak to personally. A diving accident in 1967, when I was 17, left me a quadriplegic. I’ve lived 45 years in this wheelchair, and I’ve experienced my share of ups and downs. But, oh, the difference the grace of God has made in my life.
I want to tell you my secrets to peace and joy, despite my wheelchair. I’ve spent decades studying the Word of God, and I’ve seen time and again how God gives us ways to deal with life’s pain and brings us peace. I’m excited about sharing the insights I’ve learned.
Yes, I’ve written books on these tough issues, but sometimes short and succinct is much better; and so, I have taken my most important insights and encapsulated them into 6 Rose Publishing pamphlets.
These colorful, 14-page pamphlets give God’s answers to some of our biggest questions. I can’t wait to share with you the wonderful secrets that God has shown me:

  • How to handle unanswered prayer.
  • How to turn anger in the right direction.
  • How to have a thankful heart in a world of hurt.
  • How to gain a hopeful spirit when all seems lost.

These pamphlets are for you, especially if you are in pain and are in need of encouragement, if you have a friend who needs words of comfort, if you are a pastor/church counselor, and above all if you lead a discussion group or home fellowship. The Lord loves us, and he has given us his Word to help us through the toughest of times. Let me share with you the joy and peace I’ve found!
Through the love of Christ…
