Day 3: Pray for Your Community

814If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.“–James 1:5

Tomorrow is the National Day of Prayer for the U.S. and we’re getting ready with a week of prayer topics. It will only take you a few minutes out of the 24 hours of your day to pray these simple prayers, so why not lift these situations up to God?
Today we want to ask for wisdom for our community leaders. You may or may not know how your city/town is doing, but it’s important to pray for the leaders that make decisions that affect the lives around you. Whether or not the leaders in your region are believers, they need guidance just like anyone else. Wisdom for your community leaders is something you can ask the Lord in faith for.
Here are examples of community leaders you can be praying for:

  • Local City Officials
  • School Board
  • Police Officers
  • School Teachers
  • Pastors/Churches

For a bonus, ask the Holy Spirit to show you who else you can be praying for today.
